Gacitua Bridal is an inclusive bridal design house based in Los Angeles, California. Launched in 2019 by costume designer and wardrobe stylist Mauva Gacitua, we’re on a mission to help every woman to look elegant, beautiful and graceful when it matters most to her. Because we subconsciously choose clothes that help us navigate the world, so at Gacitua Bridal we design gowns for women who want to do this intentionally. We want you to help you feel your best, so you can truly look your best on your special day.
We’ve also created two labels to make our gowns more accessible: Gacitua and M. Gacitua. M. Gacitua caters to women want couture, luxury designs that capture the essence of their event, and Gacitua offers ready-to-wear, stylish options for women who want elegance without the luxury price tag.
Our garments are all handmade and ethically-made with sustainability in mind, using responsible sourcing and following California and federal labor standards. We take pride in caring for our artisans by ensuring fair wages and safe working conditions, reflecting our commitment to both the quality of our designs and the well-being of those who create them.
Mauva Gacitua has always been involved in fashion — from designing clothes since she was a little girl, to modeling and working as a costume designer and wardrobe stylist — fashion has always been her passion. In 2019, she took a leap of faith and launched Gacitua Bridal because wanted to contribute something that mattered to the world. And she’s been doing so since by supporting women who want to be their best selves and helping them create core memories.
Mauva also serves her community through philanthropic efforts like The Wedding Gift initiative, an annual wedding salon experience for survivors of domestic violence. The brides-to-be are treated to a day of luxury and gifted wedding services such as a dress, flowers and photography services. Because Mauva wants everybody to be able to experience a beautiful day.
